PACE Financing
Property Assessed Clean Energy financing programs are available in a growing number of states, counties and cities. Made available through local governments, this financing structure allows property owners to attach up to 100% of the cost of the energy improvements to their property tax bill to amortize the cost over 15-20 years. If the homeowner sells his home, the loan remains attached to the property. In most instances the monthly amount to pay off the loan is less than the monthly energy savings achieved through energy-efficiency retrofits.
